Dale Pohlman joined Dairyland as the Vice President, Strategic Planning in May 2000.

Pohlman brought to Dairyland 27 years of executive level leadership experience in the electric utility industry. He has provided expert testimony in both Vermont and Pennsylvania regarding restructuring of the industry.

Pohlman played a leadership role in the planning, permitting, financing, construction, and operation of a variety of generation and transmission projects including the Intermountain Power Project and its associated AC and DC transmission systems, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Navajo Generating Station and its associated transmission system, Anaheim Gas Turbine Project, California-Oregon Transmission Project, and the Mead-Phoenix Transmission Project. As a charter member of the Executive Committee, he participated in the initial planning, contract negotiation and formation of the Western Systems Power Pool.

Prior to joining Dairyland, Pohlman was most recently a Managing Executive Consultant with RMI-Navigant Consulting, Inc., where he provided technical and management consulting services to utility and non-utility clients. Prior to that he was Vice President with Power Resource Managers, LLC. During his career, he has also held management positions with the Burlington (Vt.) Electric utility, Anaheim (Calif.) Public Utilities and Salt River Project (Ariz.). Pohlman possesses a bachelor's degree in mathematics education/engineering science from Arizona State University.

Pohlman has served on the Board of Directors for the Vermont Electric Power Company, an investor-owned transmission company, and the Southern California Public Power Authority, a generation and transmission financing agency for 11 municipal electric utilities.
