William L. Berg, President and CEO of Dairyland Power Cooperative, is a lifelong resident of Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1971 and 1972, respectively. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. From 1972 to 1974, Mr. Berg was employed by Wisconsin Electric Power Company, Milwaukee, in various engineering capacities. Mr. Berg has been employed by Dairyland since 1974, and assumed the duties of chief executive in 1990. Mr. Berg serves on a variety of boards and committees, including the Board of Directors of GEN~SYS Energy, Forward Wisconsin, and the Board of Advisors of Viterbo University. He is a member of the Environmental Task Force of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. He is a past-president of the National G&T Managers’ Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the Electric Power Research Institute. |
