Alma Off-Site

Ash, a by-product of burned coal, from the Alma Station and JPM is transported to the off-site facility just three miles from the two generating stations. There, it is pressure pumped into a holding silo preceding treatment and disposal.

In 2004, 90% of Dairyland's fly ash was recycled for beneficial re-use, such as use as a cement additive.
