Career Opportunities - Senior Software Architect

Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking a Senior Software Architect in La Crosse, WI – Duties: Develop and shape the technical and architectural vision for Information Technology (IT) application systems by identifying company related business processes and requirements and translate these into technical requirements for the architecture and design of proposed applications. Research and understand popular methodologies and be continually cognizant of how and where these methodologies may fit into Dairyland's environment. Recommend new technologies, techniques, and methodologies to management and lead efforts to research and/or implement new technologies. Design application interfaces and software services to maximize reuse based on the business processes and governance rules for sharing. Design, implement, and/or manage internal and external applications. Develop feasible options and technical solutions to complex business problems by applying experience, technical knowledge, project management methodologies, best practices and various programming languages, databases and technologies. Propose, promote, and implement new standards as they become relevant. Participate in evaluating purchased software by providing input regarding feasibility and applicability at DPC and assist in buy vs build decisions. Help management identify potential programming projects by formulating ideas based on interacting with application users and applying knowledge of existing business processes. Lead database development efforts by planning, directing, and coordinating activities and resources. Design and code application programs according to specifications following techniques and standards established by the programming group. Mentor peers and less experienced programmers by helping them develop technical solutions and/or correcting solutions that may not be the best choice. Participate in departmental, group, and project meetings. Prepare activity reports as instructed by supervisor. Make recommendations for training to supervisor based on job requirements or for personal growth. Follow departmental change management and other departmental processes. Understand scope, priority, and timelines for assigned work completely completing all assignments in a timely and professional manner. Notify issues that impact productivity or ability to meet expectations, resolve issues or escalate to supervisor if necessary. Travel within 150-mile radius to provide client support and attend trainings. Requirements: Bachelor’s (or foreign degree equivalent) degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field of study plus ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related IT positions. Must have 4 years of software design knowledge that includes: Software and application design and architecture; UML and other modeling methods. Must have 3 years of experience in: Oracle Application development framework (ADF); Software development and design of machine to machine communication using Web Services; Service requester and service provider operations, such as SOAP, REST, XML and JSON; Oracle MAF, Cordova, and Xamarin mobile development. Must have 2 years of experience in: SOA (Service Oriented architecture); EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) and EBS (Enterprise Service Bus); Communication in a Multi-threaded design approach and concurrency; Software development in Mobile Enterprise Architectures, and N-Tier Architecture infrastructure including but not limited to Mobile Device Management tools such as Airwatchl Digital environments - Mobile (Android & iOS architecture), Web Apps, Messaging, Databases, Cloud, Infrastructure, Networks and mobile software development methods (Native/Hybrid); User experience (UX) disciplines and agile methodologies and UX design in an agile development process; ETL (Extract Transform and Load), Cryptography, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML 2.0, SPML, SSO. Testing Required on technical proficiency. Willing to work evenings and weekends. Travel required less than 10% of time - Travel within 150-mile radius to provide client support and attend trainings.
